Create your account

On the HomeExchange page, click "Join HomeExchange" or "Sign Up." Enter your email address and create a password. You can also use your Google or Facebook account.

Complete your home profile

HomeExchange will ask you to set up your home listing (address, photos, description, availability). This is required to activate the membership. Prepare 5-8 clear photos of your space.

Activate your paid membership

Choose a plan (monthly or annual). This is when the referral code is validated. Payment is by credit card or PayPal.

Check your GuestPoints balance

Within 24h, check your GuestPoints balance in your HomeExchange dashboard (under "My Points" or your profile menu). The 100 bonus points should appear there.

Method 2 — Enter the Code Manually

During signup, look for a "Referral code" or "Promo code" field. It's usually located below the password fields or during the payment step.

Paste the code and confirm

How Long Until I Receive the Bonus GuestPoints?

The 100 bonus GuestPoints are typically credited within 24 hours of activating your paid membership. In some cases (account verification, identity check), it may take up to 5 business days.

To check your balance: log in to HomeExchange → dashboard → "My GuestPoints" or profile icon → "My Account" → "Points."

💡 If after 5 days your points still haven't appeared, contact HomeExchange support with your order number and the code you used. They usually resolve this quickly.

I Forgot to Enter the Code — Now What?

Don't panic. Here's what to do:

  1. Contact HomeExchange support as soon as possible after signup (ideally within 24-48h)
  2. Email support@homeexchange.com with the subject: "Referral code missed at signup"
  3. In the message, include: your signup email address, the signup date, and the code johanne-3ab93
  4. HomeExchange support can often credit the points manually if the request is made quickly

There's no guarantee this will work after membership activation, but it's worth trying — support is generally understanding.

Troubleshooting — Code Doesn't Work

Can't find the code field

HomeExchange regularly updates its interface. If you can't find the code field, use the referral link directly — it applies the code automatically.

"Invalid code" error message

Make sure you copied the code without any leading or trailing spaces. If the error persists, contact support.

I already have a HomeExchange account

The referral code is reserved for new members. If you already have an account (even inactive), the code won't apply. In that case, reactivate your membership normally — HomeExchange's regular promotions can be advantageous.

Points haven't appeared after 5 days

Contact HomeExchange support with your transaction number and a screenshot of your membership confirmation. Mention the code johanne-3ab93 explicitly.
